In 2005 Phil Greenwell, one of our former Company Commanders from Vietnam, took his truck driving skills to the battlefields of Iraq. The following email is from his return to the World:
This is how it goes down for the truckers in Iraq. Fortunately "Sticks" was not injured and the IED was very small and did not contain a white phosphorous or napalm element to light the fuel. It appears this one was command detonated, likely from the right side and a little to the rear since the trigger man was a bit late in setting it off thus not hitting the driver. My former little section of around 200 drivers take hits like this almost daily. This is a brave bunch of folks who face this every single day of their lives and they are deserving of our support and respect.
