Cpt Edmund B. Scarborough
I am trying to find out any information I can about my uncle, Cpt Edmund B. Scarborough. He was killed in action May of ’68. I was born that following July and given his name. Currently I have been serving proudly for 12 years and just returned from Iraq where I was for a year with the 82nd Abn Div. I can be reached at edmund.c.scarborough@us.army.mil
Thank you ahead of time for any assistance you can provide.
Sincerely,
SSG EDMUND C. SCARBOROUGH

Cashon
My father, Elwin Godfrey from Maine, served in Danang in 68. He was looking for a young man who had been severly hurt, but survived (he was approximately 21 years of age). He stated this young man served in C Company, 5th Army Special Forces Unit. He only remembers his last name -- Cashon -- this is probably not spelled correctly. He thought he was from Texas but was not sure if he went back there or if he was sent to Fort Bragg. I know this is probably like looking for a needle in a hay stack but I thought I would give it a try for my father. Thank you for your help.
Monica Godfrey
Pete Herrick
His name is Pete Herrick, his father was a First Sargent in the Army. My name is Harris George, and my father was a T/sgt.in the Airforce. Our Parents were stationed in Wiesbaden,Germany in 1963 through 1965. We went to Wiesbaden High School together, and became best of friends. Pete graduated ahead of me, in 1965. He then joined the Army while still in Germany. We promised to write each other faithfully, when he got to Vietnam he sent me a letter with his addressand I immediatly wrote him back. The next letter I got from him stated that he was doing alright and that he sure did hope that I would be writing soon. Once again I sat down and wrote to him. He kept writing to me and asking when I was going to write to him. I always wrote back to him right away. The last letter I got from him stated that he was not going to write to me anymore until I wrote to him. I wrote another letter right away, and have never heard from Pete again. Being ignorant about the postal service I tried to figure things out on my own, but had no success. About a year later I learned that none of my mail had ever been sent, because the squadron clerk had been destroying the mail. I really do not know where to go from here. I have called hundreds of Herricks all over the country. Pete and I never talked about the past, I only heard him mention one place, and that was (Alamagorda) New Mexico maybe? He had a sister named Andria. I will be forever in your debt if you can help me . I lost his old letters when we were transferred and I don't even have those to fall back on. I will continue to look until I find him or until I die. Thank you for any help.
Sincerly,
Harris B. George, Jr.
